I have over 20 yrs. experience working as a civil servant.  Although I do not have a college degree, I excel at research/fact finding on any subject.  My father was an investigator employed by well-known, now deceased attorney, Melvin Belli.  It is my belief that the ability to find information on any topic or person, is just "in my blood."   Are federal agencies willing, or allowed to, waive the requirement of a college degree for an intelligence-related position if an applicant can prove their skill level is better, or at least as good, as an applicant with a degree?

Thank you for putting up this subject for discussion.  I have the same problem.  I never got a college degree but have a lot of work experience and I believe I am more skilled, more capable and more knowledgeable than many college-degree holders.  It's actually not just government agencies but prviate corporations too, that put emphasis on a college degree.  I don't think that that's fair on us.
