Obama to Propose Five-year Spending Freeze
3 CommentsPresident Obama will call for a five-year freeze in non-security, discretionary spending during his State of the Union speech Tuesday night, according to a White House official.
The spending freeze will save roughly $400 billion through 2015, according to White House estimates.

Most of America is experiencing a gut-wrenching recession. They worry about their jobs every single day. At the same time, America is essentially BANKRUPT with accumulated debt that now equals our GDP, and is climbing at an alarming rate. The surest way to reduce the deficit - other than printing money and causing hyperinflation - is to make serious cuts in the budget.
A truly just president would ask his employees to share the burden with the rest of the nation. There should be massive staff reductions across the entire federal bureaucracy. A five year freeze is simply not enough!

As long as he executes a balanced approach to lower the debt by also adjusting the tax code so that the rich, middle, and poor classes are taxed fairly. Everyony needs to realize, cuts and spending freezes are not enough. We have to also look at how the country gets it's income as well.
