About Me
I was a Naval Aviation Electrician for 10.5 years, broken service with another 8 years of broken service as a Reservist. Made 2 Westpac deployments, got married and divorced, went to college, blundered all over the country for work, had my life taken over by the Empress Panthera, a magnificent creature commonly mistaken for a cat and eventually ended up back in California with the Forest Service at the Riverside Fire Lab working in the Prescribed Fire Unit for 7 years & 4 months until I took an early retirement. Most of our burns were indoor and contained for scientific purposes, but when there was a prescribed burn, we often went as observers. We often had university students engaged in research and I usually rode herd over them and their professors could be just as undisciplined in the field. We are in Hawai'i. I may also qualify as a 10 point Veteran, as there is one step if you are between 10 and 29%, so once I get my reply from the VA and do qualify I'll take it.
