    Summary: During my four years at Embassy Colombo, I was Head of the Political Section, acting Head of the Economic Section (8 months), and acting Deputy Chief of Mission (5 months), so I had lots of experience working with Bernard and his office. He was a skilled manager balancing the many competing demands on his limited resources. He trained his team to perform well in a dangerous environment, ensuring safe and on time delivery.
