  That all sounds like a lot of fun - I grew up in Aurora which is a bit south of Denver so I actually didn't spend much time in the main part of the city, but I have walked around 16th street mall a more than once with friends. We used to go to free shows at the DCPA theater and we'd go to the mall for dinner. And a Dave Matthew's Band Concert! That must have been a lot of fun. He'd be fun to see live.

  You would love living in the Pacific Northwest. I actually live in Washington, not Oregon, but am seriously considering on moving to Oregon once my daughter graduates high school at the end of the year. I live in the more desert area of Washington and I love the mountainous regions in Oregon.

  Hi Maile, good to meet you too! Yes, Amy and I do work together. To answer your question, I love what I do. I learn something new everyday about how the mapping programs can be used. If you're thinking about getting a minor in geography/ GIS I would definitely go for it! I started off in geography because Auburn does not offer meteorology and geography had the most similar class itinerary to meteorology. When I got into taking the GIS courses I did not want to quit learning about all the things that can be done with it, and I knew right then what I wanted to do with my career. There are so many career opportunities with GIS right now; it is a very good thing to be knowledgeable of. I hoped I answered your question. Sorry that I rambling, but I could go on and on about it. :)

  Thanks Maile! I'm really starting to like downtown Montgomery as well. The City has done a lot over the last several years toward downtown redevelopment. We have a long way to go, but a lot of businesses have started moving back from other sections of town and downtown lofts are gaining a lot of interest with the young professionals in Montgomery.

  Hi Maile. Mahalo's for the invite and gift! Busy doing...stuff... but hope to be more active (at least complete a profile or something). I'd sign-on and leave it on, but off tending to everything else.

  Don't like Flint. Just moved here last year (supposed to be temporary), but might probably be here for awhile? We'll see.

  The week? Nothing out of the ordinary. Maybe that might be a good thing considering a lot of undesirably out-of-the-ordinary things going on in the world today.
