How are you? Yes, as a matter of fact my name/family is French, Creole to be more exact.
I haven't travelled to Dallas in years! I did recently do a phone interview with the IRS for a position as a Tax Comliance Officer and they informed me if I was interested in the position that I would have to spend half of my first year in Dallas for training.
How is your job hunting going?

Dear Nasrine: No one is indispensable anymore. There's no such thing as job security either. So I'm just going to hope this second time around I'm not going to leave anything to chance. I'm pursuing my degree so I'm hoping at least this time I can last four years there. In the meantime, I will keep my name and profile posted on USAJobs just in case a great government agency job comes along. And in case, there's another upheaval where I am and I get thrown out on the streets once again before that.

Nasrine, I pray that you will find a new place to live real soon! As to my health, I'm doing better, although my back is taking its good time to heal! Still have an EEG and an MRI coming up within the next 2 weeks. Otherwise, I'm doing fine!

Dear Nasrine. Very kind of you to wish me luck. I've actually been stressed out and anxious after this interview. Definitely, they might not contact me ever again. I was interviewed in person by a panel of three people from the Broward County Sheriff Department in early December. Then two weeks later I received an e-mail saying I was eligible for the position and that my name had been forwarded to the HR Department for further consideration. I haven't heard from them since. Oh well, I have to remain optimistic I guess and just keep at it. PS: I love all your funny kitty photos!

Dear Nasrine: How are you? Long time no write. Here in Miami, it's cold again and my head seems to freeze up and I felt that I had nothing to write about to my friends here. But I did want to let you know that I had a break this week with one of my government job applications. I had a phone interview with the local Medicare office and three program managers. I think I did quite well and I hope that I get selected to continue on for the next step in the hiring process. So wish me luck, I need it!
