They can't help but love her. It was difficult to stay angry at her even though she did something wrong. Just the way she looked at her with her big round eyes, she had such a sweet disposition when she wasn't fighting. She loved giving kisses. Just don't open up your mouth to say anything while she was giving you those kisses.

Yes, I keep thinking that there was something that could have been done, but at the time, it was too much not just for me, but for them as well. I just remember how she looked at me when she was being brought back in the shelter. She just looked like she was saying, "Why am I being brought here?" I cried.

For a while, we could tether one in the dining room and tether another in the living room and that was okay. But at the end, as long as they saw one another, there would inevitably be a fight and blood would be spilled. Esther was a fighter. Faith is more of a wrestler who would pin Esther, but she had to learn to fight.

Esther and Faith have been fixed, they just wanted to duke it out to see who was going to be the alpha dog. It got too much to try and figure out what else to do. We couldn't keep them penned up in their rooms. The minute one tried to get out of her room, then she would go to the other door and try and get through. So, unfortunately, Esther went back to the shelter. It wasn't something I wanted, and it wasn't always her fault, but since Faith was here for 7 years, it was only right that she stay and Esther go to a home where there is only one dog and she can get all of the attention. With some obedience training, it would be better for her. It would have cost too much for both to get training at the same time!
