It's more important to reach out to others, but also get your profile page professionally, because you don't know who is here or who can help you in the direction you need to go. I've had at least a couple of people tell me what I can do at the time, because they knew that I worked in the medical field. Whatever site you may be on, keep your profile looking professional. You never know that someone in your area who will say that they know of a job opening up or already opened for you to apply. It happens!

You can go to the various groups and choose the ones that you are interested in. You can also check out the different areas -- articles, pictures, quizzes, etc., and the home page to tell you more about the site. How often do people get joobs? It depends upon the job and the economy at the time. Some people get jobs right away, others are still waiting. It also depends on your resume and how you present yourself -- how you dress and speak, if you are caring a copy of your resume and references with you as you may have to refer to it time to time so you can emphazie points that they may be asking during the interview. Does that help you any?
