Melanie I will give you a quick short course how to make friends and you can do it yourself
If and when you see me comment on someone click on that persons name and it will take you to their page underneath their profile picture you will see an option "add who name as a friend" click on that it will take you to another page and just follow the directions or is you see on the recent activity board the McConnel just made a freind click on that name and you do the same I hope this helps you.
If it does not just ask this was a real quick basic skill how to make friends yourself
