I have to say panthercat that that is the most original, and in some cases even more applicable defintiion of the term politics. But the etimology of the term is actually less colorful I'm afraid. It basically comes from the Greek word Polis meaning city or state, thus politics is anything concerning the state. I do like your definition though. I will have to remember that one. Again, thanks for accepting my invite.

Good luck with the degree, but try as I might, I've never seen the science in politics. Perhaps someday you could quantify the degrees of mud slinging to rectify that. Remember the definition of politics: poli = many; tics = blood sucking creatures.
