Thanks. Monster is something else, though. I put one thing in that I'm looking for and they have other things that are completely out of the ballpark!

I used to be a CMA, but now work six hours a week at the church as an assistant church secretary. I have to look now for a desk job or something where I don't stand on my feet all day.

It would be great if we could snap our problems and it would all disappear. But the decisions we make only make us stronger, especially when we learn from our mistakes. All is well here. Thank you for asking. We should talk more often.

I really enjoy riding western. It's relaxing although I'm still at the stage where running and jumping is out of my realm. Both Mariposita and I are still learning about each other. She's realizing that she can't invade my space when we're walking towards the arena. She a stubborn little mare but we're working on creating a tight bond between us. I've had to jump off a couple of times but it gets better and easier each time.
As for the cultural invasion, yes, I agree with you. I don't mind if people speak their own languages among themselves but to force it upon others just isn't right. I was born and raised in Holland and when my family and I came to this country in 1962, my parents and younger brother spoke no English. Yet they were determined to learn quickly and so they did. America is becoming a definite hodgepodge of different cultures. I enjoy seeing these festivals and learning about other cultures but I don't appreciate them being forced on me. I'm proud to be Dutch but the US is the country of my choice and my heart and as such I have to represent myself as an American.
It's great talking with you. Stay in touch and have a great and safe day.

That's fantastic! I had a horse many years ago and am now finally getting back to riding after 38 years. It's like starting all over again. A friend of mine is letting me use his mare and giving me lessons. I'm enjoying it but there is a lot more to learn and remember. It must have been quite a dream to be riding in Costa Rica! You'll have to tell me what kind of horses you have. It sounds like you ride English style? I'm all Western. Just bought a new saddle and am building up my tack again. Tell me about yourself, okay? In the meantime, have a great and safe day!

Hello Allyson, Thanks for accepting my invitation. I noticed that you like horses too. I have just gone back to riding after many years and now realize just how much I've missed it. I hope to "speak" with you more when you get the chance. In the meantime, have a great and safe day.
