District of Columbia Department of Human Resources Internships
The DC Department of Human Resources (DCHR) provides human resource management services that strengthen individual and organizational performance and enable the District government to attract, develop and retain a well-qualified, diverse workforce.
Arts and Humanities Internships
The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities offers exciting internships in arts management. Interns have the opportunity to gain job experience, build professional skills, and network with arts professionals throughout Washington, DC.
Internships are open to college students (sophomores and beyond) and graduate students. Commission internships are available year-round (fall, spring and summer semesters) on both a part-time and full-time basis, ranging from 14 to 35 hours per week. The deadline for internship applications for summer consideration is typically March.
Stipends are available for summer internships, and college credit may be available. Students should contact their school’s placement office or the Commission’s internship coordinator for college credit details. Students from American University’s Washington Semester program are eligible for Commission internships.
