Federal Jobs in Nevada
For most of its history Nevada has been a state of great expanses of open land and few inhabitants. Despite thirty years of massive population growth, much of its desert landscape remains under federal ownership and the U.S. Air Force’s Air Combat Command continues to operate large and expansive Air Force bases throughout the Silver State. The DOI‘s Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation remain large federal employers in the state, and the Veterans Health Administration is seeing exponential growth due to the ever increasing of military veterans retiring in Nevada’s new retirement communities.
