Army Medical Command
U.S. Army Medical Command has command and control of two Army installations – Fort Detrick, located in Frederick, Md., and Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C.
Fort Detrick hosts 30 tenants from the Departments of Defense, Agriculture, Justice, Treasury, and Health and Human Services. U.S. Army Medical Research and Material Command has headquarters and several research and logistics units at Fort Detrick. In addition to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the Walter Reed installation is home to the North Atlantic Regional Medical Command, the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, and the DOD Deployment Health Clinical Center, to name only a few of the distinguished organizations located on the installation.
