5 Reasons to Get a Local or State Gov't Job
Kyle Stone | GovCentral Editor
4. More Flexibility, More Job Security
According to a 2004 report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, flexible schedules in the public sector were more common among local and state government employees than among federal government employees.
State and Local government branches hire people at all levels of experience and education. Whether you’re a high school graduate with little experience, a college student, a retiring veteran, or a Ph. D., there are amply opportunities for you to find work.
Of course, many of the more rewarding jobs available will expect you to go through formal training or earn a degree before applying. <a href= “http://edu.govcentral.com?referall=gc_org”>Learn more about getting a government degree using GovCentral’s career resources.
More Job Security
While every corporation in America is looking to cut costs and downsize, the US government is looking to expand. The public sector offers much better protection from losing your job, once you land it; outstanding benefits packages and 401K plans make this an even prettier picture.

I have a local Government job, and it seems like everything else, it all depends on what County you work in, and what portion of the company budget administration feels like spending on their employees. There should be standards in place, because this "great" job pays FAR less than 25,000 a year!!

With the growing trend of outsourcing worldwide, more and more people will end up losing their jobs especially that were facing crisis in the economy. Last year 2.6 million jobs were lost, and experts predict 2 million more will be lost this year. Taking the advantage of knowing more about short term loans is the best option you can do in getting last minute cash, giving the opportunity to informed payday loan, or short term loan, or cash advance loan, is a loan that you take out and pay back in a couple of weeks or whenever you get your next paycheck along with a nominal fee. Nationalized banking has been the subject of more debate lately than payday loans. Fed chairman Ben Bernanke seems to be walking a fine line these days. Nationalized banking has a mixed bag of results. The fear is that it will create zombie banks, or banks that only continue to exist solely based on government funding. Payday loans sure aren't this way. Bernanke insists that no such situation will exist, but the reality is that if too much nationalization occurs, banks come into a position where the government can make it difficult to deal with any other financial services. For instance, this could lead to the outlawing of any and all lending of payday loans, which would not be good for anyone.
