There is no point to applying. You have to know somebody to get a government job.

I written many ksas, but has failed to get a second look, so that I can get an interview? does anyone know of a website or book with detailed information on how to write a eye catching ksa? I even used action words, and I include money figures, but to, no avail. Plus, I have bought several ksa books ( not much help).

I was one of the first that went through a Vocational Rehabilitation pilot program that taught resume and cover letter writting. Give the reader the who, what, when, where, and why and quantify your experience. I ran into an Airman on Thursday at a job fair; his resume stated, "Prioritizes and provides patient daily care. I asked him about how many patients and he said 200-300 a day! Adding that little bit changes a line item that is looked over into an impressive accomplishment. Now you know that this guy has a great deal of experience in the prioritization of patient care. ScoobyDoo, do you know anyone in Riverside, CA that does hiring?

MartLR,
If you leave your e-mail address, I can e-mail you an example of my resume. Do you know anyone involved in the federal hiring process?

I am a newcomer and have found the difficulties in seeking employment with the Federal Gov't. I am looking into the Dept. of Interior and have found one particular position that is interesting. I found that my qualifications closely match those stated but, the KSA questions throw me a curve. Is there anyone who can assist me or give me direction in answering these questions. Please contact me at tsmrcina@yahoo.com thanks, Tom
