Do you need more information on the federal employment forms that you will need to fill out to begin the federal hiring process? Over the past decade the overall number of federal employment forms has declined and many federal positions do not require any handwritten employment forms.

Still, many job vacancy announcements identify one or two of the forms listed below as being required for a specific job. There is also a list of agency specific forms and automated systems. It is important to remember that each agency may require additional forms not provided below. If required, these forms will be referenced in each vacancy announcement.

Universal Forms

1203-FX – Qualifications and Availability, Form C

I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification Form

OF-306 – Declaration for Federal Employment

OF-612 – Optional Application for Federal Employment

Standard Form 86: Questionnaire for National Security Positions

Veterans Preference

SF15 – Application for 10-point Veterans Preference

Agency Specific

Department of Veterans Affairs, Application for Associated Health Occupations. VA Form # 10-2850c: This form enables the Department of Veterans Affairs to determine your eligibility for appointment in Veterans Health Administration.

Department of Veterans Affairs, Application for Physicians, Dentists, Podiatrists, Optometrists And Chiropractors: Form to enable the Department of Veterans Affairs to determine your eligibility for appointment in Veterans Health Administration.

Department of Veterans Affairs, Application for Nurses And Nurse Anesthetists. Form to enable the Department of Veterans Affairs to determine your eligibility for appointment in Veterans Health Administration.

Defense Logistics Agency and the Defense Contract Management Agency’s Automated Staffing Program (ASP): An automated process for filling vacant positions. ASP interfaces with a commercial off the shelf package called Resumix that is deployed throughout the Department of Defense (DoD).

Department of the Army, West Civilian Personnel Operations Center (WCPOC) Resumix System: an automated referral system to fill vacancies. Applicants must submit a three-page resume and a one-page supplemental data sheet to apply for positions.

Department of the Interior, Applicant Background Survey form, DI-1935 B: This special form is required when applying for jobs at Interior, including National Park Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, etc.

NASA Astronaut Applicant Supplemental Forms: These forms are only available after submitting your resume via the NASA Job Page. They include: Form 93 Medical History (acceptance of medical history information for candidates applying to an astronaut position); Form 465A Supplemental History (acceptance of supplemental medical history information for candidates applying to an astronaut position); Form 603A Aeronautical Experience (acceptance of aeronautical experience information for candidates applying for an astronaut position); References Form (references information of candidates applying for an astronaut position).

It helps me fill out my federal forms easily and gives me the option to either save, print, fax, share, send to sign or even add picture.     I'm a hairdresser and I slowed down buisness wise. I thought a government job/ part- time would be a good one to look for . Can you tell me which to start at and where to get a application.
