How Many Jobs Will Be Created/Saved in Your State?
US Job Creation/Saved in Next Two Years Flash Map from Recovery.org
GovCentral and Recovery.Gov
In an effort to maintain the transparency and accountability promised during the Presidential campaign, the Obama Administration launched Recovery.gov. The site is a searchable database of how and where tax dollars are spent as a result of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
GovCentral found the most useful part of the site is the Estimated Job Effect Flash Map of the U.S. When you scroll over a State, you can find out the expected jobs created/saved figures for the next two years. Yet this didn’t go into the depth we wanted it to, so we pulled together the information for you and made it easier to compare your state with others.
There are two tables in this report, with the same data but in different sets.
Table 1: Jobs Created and Saved (in the Next Two Years) Listed by State Alphabetically
Table 2: Jobs Created and Saved (in the Next Two Years) Listed by Highest Number/State
