Explosive Growth in Government Jobs
Can Obama's strong focus on creating jobs pull the United States out of a recession?
Kyle Stone | Editor
Are you searching for a career where you can have real impact on America’s economic and political future? If so, you should already be considering government jobs. With thousands of different careers to choose from, the government sector offers something for everyone – especially since the US government is looking to hire more employees at a rapid pace.
There is no better time to start hunting for jobs – yet I am the first to admit that job searching can be a laborious, frustrating, and time-intensive process. On GovCentral, I’ve already helped hundreds of government job seekers to refine their searches, be more productive, and start getting real results from the valuable time they invest in this website.
I’ve tried to outline some of the policy changes we can expect over the next four (or eight) years – and what they will mean for government job growth.
What a Democratic Presidency Means
The newly-elected Democratic presidency will literally be creating millions of new jobs in order to re-build America after the recent economic downturn.
In an Ohio economic speech earlier this week, Obama stated: “Today I’m proposing a number of steps that we should take immediately to stabilize our financial system, provide relief to families and communities, and help struggling homeowners. It’s a plan that begins with one word that’s on everyone’s mind, and it’s spelled J-O-B-S.”

Why Education Matters
While government jobs are available for people of all education levels, the most impactful jobs require applicants to earn <a href= “http://govcentral.monster.com/tracking/int?landing_page=http://edu.govcentral.com?referral=gc_org”>college degrees. Government employees with bachelor’s degrees or higher are eligible for higher salaries, better benefits packages, and also tend to have more job stability.

whats up Scrub? I hold a scrub diploma, Surg. Asst. diploma and five other healthcare trades and a Bachelor's degree in Business Admin w/ Mgmt. Your best bet would be to structure yourself with travel contracts for about a year, find a local gig that will be stable, go to school and if you have to, finance your education and enter either nursing or business and ascend to the Exectuive Suite, so that your voice can be heard loud and clear. You must also educate yourself higher so that your voice as a Pt advocate will be heard even more clearly. Tough breaks and a long path but you have to go and not look back. Learn hearts, PLIFs, ORIFs, and anything else other people dont want to do. Work hard and create a plan that will help you not feel inferior or under employed.
