The Best Entry Level Government Jobs

There is a lot of discussion about how government-sector jobs are more stable than others in our faltering economy and about how government hiring trends are predicted to be more resistant to the economic downturn than other sectors. Unfortunately, this doesn’t do you a whole lot of good, if you’ve got no idea of where to start in order to get hired.

They are telling all of us that they are hiring vets preferentially but I'm not seeing it in action anywhere. When they cut the F-22 they cost me my job. What else are these professional liars going to say next.

How disappointing that my field is not one of the entry level positions. I have a Master's and a Ph.D. but cannot find a job because I have very limited experience in the field. How can I get my foot in the door?

I recieved an MBA about a year ago from the University of Phoenix. However I am having the hardest time of networking to federal employers in an effort of obtaining an entry level position. I just want an opportunity of any kind so that I could one day establish a professional career.

I recently graduate from Florida International University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice, am currently attending Keller University for MBA in Information Security. I’m looking for any government job that has to do IT or federal law enforcement. I also have my associates in mechanical engineering, with 2 years of AFROTC (Det. 155). I need some guidance on where to start applying for these jobs.

I recently graduated from California Polytechnic State University in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance. I have 4 years of banking experience, and 10 years of customer service experience. I enjoy working with excel spreadsheets, financial modeling, forecasting, and working with numbers. My mother is a controller and mathematics seems to come natural in my bloodline. I'm looking to apply the theory I learned in school to real world situations. I just need the opportunity to utilize my talents.

For more information please contact me at justin.quon@yahoo.com. I'm interested in Accounting and Analyst work.

    Warm Regards,

    Justin Quon

Good Morning... I am new to this site. I am a high school graduate with no other degrees. I was a full time Mom. The training and experience I have had is your basic on the job training and I can learn anything I have found out. Common sense works wonders! I was laid off in March and I am now seeking a job where I hope there is a need for an office clerk/clerical position without all the degrees. Thank-you everyone and anyone for any help and time with this.
    Sincerely, Deborah Durkee
