The Best Entry Level Government Jobs

There is a lot of discussion about how government-sector jobs are more stable than others in our faltering economy and about how government hiring trends are predicted to be more resistant to the economic downturn than other sectors. Unfortunately, this doesn’t do you a whole lot of good, if you’ve got no idea of where to start in order to get hired.

Why is everyone posting their resume on these article? Are are site that can help you with that.
You can go to http://www.usajobs.gov/ to apply for job but first i would recommeded those to visit http://opm.gov/. This site will determine if you are qualify for the government with veteran status or by education and experience.

The Veterans Administration is hiding their discrimination against Vietnam Veterans. I'm currently pushing an EEO age discrimination complaint after a hiring manager disclosed to a public group who he wanted for a position - prior to even interviewing the candidate.

This was compounded by the fact that the second vacancy for the same position went unfilled, despite five other qualified, interviewed candidates being available.

When I insisted on feedback, one of the HR techs inadvertently said that only Iraq War vets were being considered. Current status: the VA denies this ever occurred. Also state that they don't have to follow any proscribed hiring practice. Nice. If you've had a similar experience, please email me: semperfi7x at aol.com

Recieved an offer from a gov't contractor for a very nice IT position, pending a Secret security clearance. Even though I held a Top Secret w/o problem for over twenty years, the gov't denied the clearance request for unstated reasons and the offer was withdrawn. Since we can't find out why, we can't rebut it or fix it. Is there any point to pursuing a gov't position, since all IT positions require a clearance?? I'd really like to hear a reply. Every office that I've asked has said "I dunno". Tekctrl@earthlink.net

"I'm a former ESL teacher, just quit being an international flight attendant. Speak and write fluent Turkish beside English. And have basic knowledge of Kurdish and Arabic. Because of the jobs i've held in the past I've always been wonderful with people. I empathize with their cultural, religous and ethnic diversity to bring out the best not only for themselves but also for the company. My problem is there are so many jobs out there but I'm having problem finding one that i can use my skills and enrich them. If you can think of one please let me know :) ilkbahar_carl@hotmail.com"
