The Best Entry Level Government Jobs

There is a lot of discussion about how government-sector jobs are more stable than others in our faltering economy and about how government hiring trends are predicted to be more resistant to the economic downturn than other sectors. Unfortunately, this doesn’t do you a whole lot of good, if you’ve got no idea of where to start in order to get hired.

    R. Jones. I have been involved with the construction and real estate sector in California for 30 years. As a licensed general contractor and licensed Real Estate Broker with 4 years of college, I can offer my experience in management with confidence. I am very qualified for the construction management field. I have been self employed for the past 30 years and would like the opportunity to use my experience and knowledge in the field of this type. I need direction as where to look for possible positions.

In my case I don't meet the degree requirements, but would like to know if my 26 years management experience with a top Fortune 50 corporation, could be considered in lewd of the degree requirement? People with tangible experience should have an equal right to compete for these opportunities.

Apply as an extramural support assistant via DEAS on the usajobs.gov site.

We just hired a slew of new people and are still going.

And be patient! It takes the government a while to get anything done-including the hiring process....

Attention, I have applied for numerous on usajobs.gov that I feel I am qualified for, but I never get a respond to my applications. So what is the purpose of applying when you don't get a courtesy respond to your applications. Being a Retired Military Veteran with a 30% disability doesn't help you with a getting an interview or job through USAJOBS.GOV. Confused with the application process. Thanks
