The current 2008 GS salary listed on this schedule says the maximum pay for GS 6 is $43074 and then maximum 2008 pay for GS 7 is $41262. Please correct the errors.

The GS scale is based on national percentage for increase to base salary. Locality increases are based on region. I can't estimate mine as NSPS is all based on performance ratings. Normal GS increases over the last few years have been between 2 and 4 percent.

vpagan - the NSPS system won't affect employees who don't work for the Department of Defense. See the 'NSPS Center' linked off the home page for NSPS specific information!

I'm confused as to why this article is working with GS pay scales when everyone is moving towards the NSPS banded pay system.

Scooby, do you agree with the estimates in this article? What pay raise are you expecting to get next year?

The pay raise was the only really good thing about going to NSPS.
