I second that montion. When I retired from the USAF last year I spent a better part of my time generating my KSA's. Heck I even paid someone to write my KSA's. No luck. I finally had a former USAF HR person write my KSA's. Many resumes forward and I was finally able to land an entry level job with the DOJ. Just waiting for my clearance to go final before I start my job.

I agree that 1/2 to 1 page per KSA may be sufficient for perhaps GS 5/7/9 (or up to G band) positions, but I think as you go up the food chain it's expected that 1-2 pages is more appropriate per KSA.

KSAs should be written by the person who is the Hiring Authority, but unfortunately in the Air Force, they are written by a personnelist who may be an expert in the career field but is far removed from the actual position you are seeking to fill. As a result you may very well exclude the most qualified candidates from consideration.
